How do you think sufficient facilities in the country affect us positively in bridging the economic gaps in our society? Imagine our country having enough public libraries equipped with computer laboratories where it is accessible for everyone, or even enough classrooms in public schools so that children wouldn't learn in exposed areas like grass fields or school gyms. It's certain that the quality of life of Filipinos would improve with sufficient infrastructure in the country.
Inadequate infrastructure is more common in underdeveloped and developing countries, it means that there is a constraint on growth of the economy as a whole due to the lack of funds, education, and knowledge. This affects us negatively. Due to the lack of infrastructures, individuals might miss out on education and healthcare, and because of this, it may affect the quality of life and the life expectancy of a certain individual.
But, there are ways on how to improve on this problem. Firstly is cooperation of the government to try to lessen the cost of the digital resources because they are powerful enough to provide or at least lessen the cost of these necessities. Another is digital literacy, individuals need to know the positive effect of adequate infrastructure in technology and how it will benefit us and our economy. Lastly, is public-private partnerships, this can help because the public or the government can provide funding incentives while the private sector can provide innovation and investments.
The effects of inadequate infrastructures on a country is no joke. Due to this, the gap within our society continues to widen. However, this doesn't mean that a bright future for our country is impossible. As citizens, let us participate in every step towards a solution. Urge the government to expedite the resolution of this long-standing issue. Our small actions can lead to big changes.
